Global Mobile App Download & Revenue Rankings
Compare estimated downloads and store revenue side by side across leading apps and games. Filter the rankings by reporting period, country or region, store, official category, or Appark's proprietary tags. Review period-over-period changes, then send selected apps directly to App Comparison or Monitoring for deeper research.
Why Use Appark's Download and Revenue Rankings?
- Compare download scale with store revenue performance: View total estimated downloads and revenue in adjacent columns. This makes it easier to identify high-download apps with moderate store revenue, apps with smaller download scale but stronger revenue performance, and products increasing on both measures.
- Spot meaningful changes across reporting periods: Period-over-period percentages show how each estimate changed from the preceding period of equal length. Use them to find apps with notable increases or declines, then investigate possible causes instead of relying on ranking movement alone.
- Narrow the market with categories and granular tags: Filter by official Apple App Store or Google Play categories in a store-specific view. Appark's proprietary tags add more detailed classifications for themes, art styles, mechanics, and use cases such as 4X strategy, Roguelike, merge games, and AI image generators.
- Move from ranking research to deeper analysis: Select multiple app rows without copying package IDs. Send them to App Comparison to compare available historical trends, or add them to Monitoring for ongoing tracking.
How to Analyze Mobile App Download and Revenue Rankings?
Choose the reporting period, market, and store
- Set period, market, and store: Select one month, three months, six months, one year, or a historical month. Then choose a country or region. Select All Stores for combined App Store and Google Play estimates for matched apps, or choose one store to review store-specific performance. For current chart positions and short-term ranking movement, use Top Charts.
Refine the rankings by category or tag
- Filter by category or tag: Use official store categories when analyzing an individual store. Apply Appark's proprietary tags to focus on a specific genre, theme, art style, mechanic, or use case. If you need exact download ranges, revenue thresholds, growth conditions, or more filter combinations, continue in Advanced Search.
Compare downloads, revenue, and change together
- Read downloads, revenue, and change together: Read the download and revenue columns side by side, then review the period-over-period percentage for each metric. High downloads with limited revenue-ranking visibility may reflect advertising, ecommerce, off-store payments, acquisition-led growth, or relatively low store monetization. High store revenue with stable downloads could indicate stronger monetization among existing users. These patterns are starting points for research, not proof of a business model.
Investigate apps and build a research set
- Investigate apps and build a research set: Open an app details page to review version history, release notes, icon changes, store listing screenshots, description changes, and keyword positioning around a performance shift. Click the blank area of a row to select multiple apps, then add them to App Comparison or Monitoring. Monitoring can surface daily email digests, version updates, store listing or metadata changes, and Event Details. Open the linked publisher page or visit Publisher Rankings to examine estimated portfolio performance across publishers.
Data Coverage and Ranking Methodology
Appark's download and revenue figures are estimates generated by proprietary models using publicly available market and store signals. Inputs may include chart signals, historical ranking movement, category-level patterns, and cross-checked samples. The results are designed for market-scale and relative-performance analysis; they are not official Apple or Google figures, publisher-reported data, audited revenue, or exact company earnings.
- Estimated store revenue scope: Estimated store revenue includes paid app downloads, in-app purchases, and subscriptions. It excludes in-app advertising, ecommerce transactions, web payments, independent website top-ups, third-party payment channels, and other off-store revenue. The metric should therefore not be interpreted as total app monetization, publisher revenue, profit, or net income.
- Reporting periods and period-over-period change: The page supports one-month, three-month, six-month, one-year, and selected historical-month views. Period-over-period change compares the selected reporting period with the immediately preceding period of equal length. For example, February is compared with January, while June–August is compared with March–May. A positive percentage indicates an increase in the estimate; a negative percentage indicates a decrease. Neither establishes the cause.
- All Stores and category mapping: When All Stores is selected, Appark combines qualifying App Store and Google Play estimates for matched apps. Both store icons indicate that data from both supported stores is included; they do not prove success on each store. Google Play data does not represent every Android app store. In a single-store view, estimates and official categories follow the selected store's taxonomy. All figures also reflect the selected country, region, or worldwide scope.
